Virtual Meetings

Zoooooooom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, GotoMeeting, Cisco Webex, which ones am I missing? Other than those, I just wanted to share a couple platforms that I recently was involved with and hadn’t heard of until 2020. Wonder.Me and Hopin.com.

My experience with Hopin was for our recent Skucon that was hosted by our awesome tech partner Commonsku. I think of this platform like an actual event spac. You have the stage, but then with the ability to instantly access breakout rooms, as well as random 1-1 networking opportunities.  Wonder.Me reminds me of something more like a local “Business After Hours’ hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.  You can have multiple rooms or booths where people can attend and chat with others that are just in that specific room.  If you see a group of people in a different room, just jump over to that room with a couple clicks of the mouse.  You may be thinking that some of the others I mentioned can do all that, but to me, the experience was better in these other two.  I encourage you to check them out… Especially if you are getting Zoom fatigue with your cohorts.
